Material Removal
Catheter Tube Skiving Tool: CT Skiver
The R&D Engineering CT Skiver is a customized skiving tool that cuts between the catheter tubing and the applied heat-shrink layers, separating them and removing the heat-shrink material. The CT-Skiver is a great, flexible way to remove recovered heat shrink from the catheter reflow (laminating) post-process. These units are low-cost, small, and allow the operator to perform this function anywhere. Each unit is designed to fit the catheter without scratching the surface. Our engineering team takes the finished OD of the catheter you provide and calculates the tolerance and space required to deliver a repeatable product.
