Multi Lumen Tubing

Multi-lumen tubes are extrusions that contain multiple channels, or passages, through the length of the tubing. This enables a larger capacity for varying devices in a smaller diameter tubing component.

Multi-lumen tubes are commonly used in medical applications where multiple, segregated paths are needed for individual devices. Multiple cavities will allow the insertion of small devices, like cameras and wires when minimally invasive procedures are required.

Multi-lumen extrusions can be manufactured from a range of materials and in a variety of configurations. Multi-lumen tubing can be extruded from specific materials to exhibit certain properties translating to better steer-ability, kink resistance, flexibility, hardness, or friction of the device. 

Each lumen can also be designed to custom specifications to provide passage of required drugs, medical instruments, or other custom miniature devices. Multi-lumen tubing can be manufactured with lumens of different shapes, diameters, and wall thickness within the same extrusion.
