The MMT R&D Engineering IR Annealing Station
delivers repeatable, precise infrared heat treatment for
braided catheter development and manufacturing,
replacing open-flame methods with a fully controlled,
EHS-compliant process that eliminates torch variability
and open-flame safety concerns. High-efficiency IR
heating elements and a programmable temperature control system enable uniform thermal exposure,
consistent stress relief, and improved material flexibility
across both low-volume R&D runs and high-throughput
production. A front-facing operator interface and integrated pneumatic handling reduce setup time and
operator variability, while real-time process monitoring
and data acquisition provides the documentation and
repeatability needed to support process validation in
regulated medical device environments.
