The roll cutter did not leave a tail on the catheter when cut – I know Todd put a ton of design time into this to ensure a great cut.
I started cutting on a small catheter with .001” x .003” flat wire braid using the cutter and regular Gem blade, the cutter worked great, and finished product had no tails, but as usual I needed to change the blade after every cut.
Then I switched to the braid blade and to my surprise it worked great.
I think I did about 30 cuts, all flawless with the braid blade and NO damage to the blade.
So I cut a larger catheter with a much larger flat wire braid (.002” x .008”) and again it worked flawless with little effort.
I still do not know why this works but it does!!!
