FEPeeler ® Info Patent No. 11,167,439
Manual skivers are optimal for low-volume and small-scale manufacturing or prototyping where meticulous attention to detail is necessary. MMT’s FEPeeler Manual Skivers offer precise control and flexibility, providing a practical and cost-effective solution. Proudly Made in the USA from 300 series stainless steel, the FEPeeler works with many heat shrink materials, including polyolefin and peelable heat shrink.
Each tool is custom set up to meet the customer’s needs (heat shrink wall thickness and diameter). The standard setup is .008 to .012″ wall thickness. Size selection includes the heat shrink in the overall diameter of the part to be skived. If it fits in the tool, it will remove the heat shrink. No custom sizes are needed, and no setup changes between sizes. Increase production and increase yields by eliminating your skive-damaged parts.
With our manual skivers, the blade does all the work, never touching your parts under the heat shrink and eliminating rejections from skiver marks. The heat shrink is grabbed by a few thousandths of the exposed blade, then lifted by the blade and cut off in a removed coil. This saves time and money by eliminating the need to regrind shoes that other skive tools drag along the length of your parts under the heat shrink.
Skiver Accessories

Accessories will make skiving your product more consistent by taking the tool angle out of the operator’s hand
*manual skivers shown are sold separately from the accessory

Safety
No more stabbing or cutting injuries from less safe skiver tools. Our Manual Skivers use standard GEM 3 single-edge blades. Blade change can be done with a thumb screw or customer specified tool (Philips, Allen Wrench, etc.). Minimize blade handling by using a tool with which the blade is only in contact with heat shrink. This means the blades stay sharper longer, and blade changes are much less frequent. Skive hundreds of parts before a blade change is needed.
