The Auto-Skiver will skive your parts internally and the strip of removed FEP comes out the bottom. This machine can be placed over a gap between tables or over a hole cut for it over a garbage can to help manage waste. (.150″-.375″ OD)

Different Size Parts

The no crush rollers in the Auto-Skiver means no adjustments will need to be made when switching sizes. As long as the parts meet the tooling size, they will be fed through. High quality Maxon gearmotors and a medical grade 12-volt power supply for long life.

Standard roll cutting in catheter production has burns through blades fast and puts stress on mandrels in the process. MMT’s FEPeeler roll cutters and single edge and 2-facet roll cutting blades were designed to solve both problems. The cutters drive the part on its OD rather than forcing the blade into contact with the mandrel, which means longer blade life and cleaner cuts on braided and unbraided catheter tubes alike.

MRC-1: This roll cutter uses a hand-held blade that fits into a .010″ wide slot for clean, straight cuts. The blade drops between ball bearings to cut the smallest sizes. It will cut parts from .020″ up to about .170″. It works great for braided catheter cuts, too.

MRC-XS: This roll cutter uses a hand-held blade that fits into a .010″ wide slot for clean, straight cuts. The blade drops between ball bearings to cut the smallest sizes and will cut parts down to .010″. It works great for braided catheter cuts, too.

RC1: Roll cut parts from .050-.375 with or without braid. This roll cutter was designed to give you straight cuts by extending the distance between blade supports, which minimizes blade angle movement. The cutting depth is adjustable with an ultra fine thread screw. This roll cutter drives the rolling of your part on the OD rather than relying on the blade to make contact with the mandrel. This means less damage to your mandrels and less downforce to drive the cut. If you cut unbraided parts on a stainless mandrel, you will get many cuts on a single blade using the fine depth setting and 2-facet blades.

RC1-XL: The RC1-XL is the same great roll cutter, but it is designed for larger OD products requiring a longer stroke. With the larger rollers and long AccuTec blade, you can make a complete circumferential cut in one motion. It can cut up to .550″ OD products.

Designed for use with the for use FEPeeler RC-1 Roll Cutter, this custom tungsten carbide blade leverages crush cutting for your most difficult wire braid. It results in a cleaner cut and will reduce your blade purchases.

Compare Blades: The .325 dimension is about what most standard GEM3 blades measure,  however this tolerance is not held on the standard version. The FEPeeler Tight Tolerance version is guaranteed to meet this requirement so you will not be surprised by a damaged medical device when opening a new case of blades.s.

FEPeeler Tight Tolerance Blades: FEPeeler custom GEM3 Blades are packaged in a GEM Runner Blade Cartridge. This cartridge is easily loaded into the GEM Runner dispenser. The FEPeeler part number (84-0354) is visible thru the window on top to differentiate them from standard GEM3 blades.

Blades are sold in a pack of 100. Blades are stainless steel, washed, and degreased. Each blade is stamped with “FEPEELER.”
