Precision Deburring

Remove fine feather burrs without dimensional changes. MicroBlasting delivers pinpoint accuracy that allows you to attack a burr at its root without causing dimensional changes to the part.
Whether you need to deburr PEEK spinal implants or cross-drilled holes in aerospace components, Comco’s MicroBlasting equipment provides an efficient solution.
Surface Texturing

Need to alter the finish on a base material? MicroBlasting can be used to improve osseointegration, enhance light diffusion, and increase bond strength. It is the preferred method for generating mechanical interference to improve grip on bone screws, altering the surface finish to impart echogenic properties of guidewires, and blending surfaces to improve cosmetic finishes on sapphire wafers.
Coating Removal

Perform delicate cleaning without damage to the underlying part. Comco’s MicroBlasting equipment can be used to strip coatings, remove residues, clean hot runner nozzles, and more.
Our process is effective, streamlined, and safe, reducing or eliminating the need for harsh chemicals or mechanical scraping that can damage your parts.
Jet Machining

Micro-abrasive blasting is powerful enough to drill holes in ceramic substrates, yet gentle enough to cut slots in fragile silicon and glass wafers. MicroBlasting is “shockless,” generating neither heat nor vibration.
Uniformly remove 5 µin (0.127 microns) or less of material depending on the substrate, abrasive, and blast parameters.
